Thanksgiving 2008.

Clay and I decided to spend Thanksgiving this year, just the two of us. It was the first time we've ever done that and the last time that it will ever only be the two of us... it was special. We woke up, lounged around, watched tv and drank lattes. At 12 noon, I started prepping our fabulous meal. We ordered most of our meal pre-made from a local Gelson's Market which included turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy, cranberry sauce, veggies and dinner rolls. Of course, there are a few necessary staples that I HAD to make on my own which were collard greens, asparagus casserole and sweet potato casserole. Definitely way too much food for two people, but "OH, the leftovers!" After a two hour nap following dinner, we concluded our evening with a movie "Four Christmases" and apple pie when we got home!! It ended up being a fantastic day!! Stress free and with great company!! Here's a pic of our spread that I took with my phone... I have a really nice camera that's broken. :o( So frustrating!!

  2. Awe what a sweet day :) I'm glad you treasured it just the two of you because you are right never again will it just be the two of you. And I'm sure that kicking bundle of joy inside you reminds you every day that she is almost here :)
