A Hot Date...

Clay and I had the opportunity to go to the Disney Concert Hall the other night and watch a piano recital, performed by András Schiff. He performed a series of Beethoven sonatas. It was quite interesting. It's hard to believe that someone can memorize these 20 minute piano sonatas and play them without sheet music AND with their eyes closed almost the whole time. The Disney Concert Hall was really beautiful... they had an amazing organ and the wood panels on the ceiling were amazing as well!! It was a really nice evening!! Clay was given the tickets by one of his student's parents... we learned the next day that they were valued at $130 each!! So, this was definitely something we wouldn't have done otherwise...
